BANG! BANG! - CD entitled - DECKED OUT

Trying to stop my leg from bouncing to the music is becoming a problem w/my already unskilled typing. (pause)

Sorry, I had to take a dance break.

Track 2- "Falling, Falling"- Gretta's Fine's gritty, sexy vocals pounce on your eardrums like a feisty cat-not just looking to play, but to seduce. Being a product of the 80's pop culture, I can appreciate Jack Flash and his "Nervous- Tick". You would be as nervous as a groom about to marry the love of his life.

BANG! BANG! - will be married to success for years to come. This music is volatile as the makings of a gang fight; circling listeners with balled fist.-taunting, daring you to dance, listen or flee. It can't be ignored. It's electric and exciting. BANG! BANG! Pull the trigger and launch this group into the spot light.

Cool Cee Brown - CD entitled "SINNERMAN"

If you have ever heard Nina Simone blow her version of "SINNER MAN" you may have wondered what he was like in the flesh-wonder no more.

I introduce you to Cool Cee Brown. Perhaps, he is the incarnation of life imitating art, a subjective thought but, what can not be contested is, here is a man as he proclaims in Track 8 "DO IT TO DEATH"-"with nothing to loose and everything to gain" you can hear him staking the streets in his music. Fighters are known for having the eye of the tiger-when they are determined and on top of their game. Rappers are known for a different analogy-Dirty Water productions has an emcee spitting lyrics w/the sting of acid to the face and flow as easy as Sunday morning. These tracks prowl the streets of Washington , seeking to make prey of the rest of the world. Listening to the Joe D produce sound out of silence is nothing short of pimprific Brown, determined to extricate himself from the norm in this rap game, has succeeded by painting a soulful picture of human nature; it's fears, struggle and dreams set to a beat that makes it all easy to swallow. Gifted wrapped artistically w/ care, you tend to be empathic in a different way to the stories you've heard before, told with verbal strut and the compassion of a mother tending to a hurt knee of her child. Take a listen for yourself.

Randevyn - CD entitled " Sol Train"

Glory! Hallelujah! The sky has parted. The storm has subsided and THAT'S MY SONG!! Turn that up gurl. You feel that way when listening to this CD-like maybe your mama's days of Marvin Gaye and Teddy Pendegrass have returned; and maybe you've matured-a concert comes to town, you can dress in your Sunday best and go and not have to shout " throw your hands up" with your 80-year old self. You can actually sing along about " True Love" or maybe receive a nice serenade No offense to the elderly and those suffering through mid-life crisis at a Ludicris concert somewhere in the country. Hold on-be strong. I will be late to my funeral. I would like to know that I lived where a voice like Randevyn was heard and his music grew old with me and not before me. Classics in the making- He's funny, sweet, romantic and spiritual. This brotha deserves your undivided attention.

Soft Target

Melancholy, dramatic vocals from Jessica Corry. Her voice is filled with heart wrenching sadness. She pulls you in with that intriguing voice and lyrics holding you close with an uncompromising musical embrace. This sound is contagious, light and breezy.

It reminds you of long walks and weekend drives; as in Track-3 "Four Letter Friend".

A remnant of the Beatles; Soft Target is a nice landing after a fall through seemingly endless skies of similarity that are being passed off as the -Cloud 9 that will lift you up- only to let you down. Soft Target is the silver lining.
