Film Review
"Now You See Me"
By: Corbyn Bricie
In the life of short films, you gotta grab em fast. From the gate, Hungarian Director/Writer Attila Szasz had this movie critic riveted. And in the end, I really don't understand how this film held my attention. I think it was the fantasic camera work. No one could dream of the angles and beauty of it unless they were...I guess Attila.
In the film you're presented with the picture of a normal family. There's the sweet adorable son, the loving mother and the hardworking pops. But Dad loves to spend time in the basement with his experiments. The experiment in this film leaves the son invisible...or does it? Hmmm it would be easy for me to tell you what happens then you would miss the stunning way this story creeps into you and shows you the mystery of humanity, love and defunct parenthood. Did I mention the imagery Atila captures is gorgeous?
If I could write the way Szasz weilds a camera, I could rule the world!
I'm truly impressed and am wondering just what else by this Director I can get my hands on. Oh, and let's not forget the score. This film has all the crucial elements. Very riveting, Mr. Szasz.
Everyone do yourself a favor and check this one out.
